Resident complains of headache following explosion at Exxon station; teenagers trespass on the roof of Harrison Elementary school.

A McClellan Avenue homeowner reported that he and his family were suffering headaches after the November 23 explosion that occurred at the neighboring Exxon station on the corner of Livingston Avenue and McClellan Avenue. Firefighters checked residence for carbon monoxide, but did not find anything.

A female was stuck in the elevator in a Building #1 at 156 E. Cedar Street.  A power outage caused the elevator to stop working.  The woman was removed from the elevator and power was restored to building.

Three people at Lord & Taylor in the Livingston Mall had to be removed via the emergency elevator hatch after an elevator stalled.  Lord & Taylor engineering staff was on-site to assist.

November 26: 

Another elevator emergency, this time at 5000 Point Gate Drive.  Firefighters checked elevator, no problem found.

Police Activity

Outside of routine activity, on November 29, police responded to a report concerning teenagers on the roof of Harrison Elementary school on Livingston Avenue.

About 5:30 p.m., police received a call that there were people on the roof of Harrison School.   Arriving on the scene, police saw teenagers on the roof of the school.  Also, police noted a black Ford parked nearby. 

The teenagers fled the scene, scattering in different directions, upon seeing the police.   Two teenagers walked toward the officers and were questioned.  Other teenagers were later found and six Livingston teenagers have been charged with trespassing.
