Power Outage Hits Broadlawn Area In Livingston

A downed electric line in West Orange may have been to blame for the power outages that hit the Broadlawn area of Livingston on Thursday night.

The Livingston Police Department sent out an alert on Thursday night about the outage:

“Appears to be related to a power line down in West Orange. Should hopefully be a few hours at most.”

As of 9:30 a.m. on Friday, the PSE&G online Outage Map showed two lingering outages on Shrewsbury Drive, affecting less than ten customers.

A resident commented on what he saw via social media:

“Saw the light out at Mt. Pleasant middle, had me worried my street was out. Then we saw lights on our side and the West Orange side of E. Mt. Pleasant at Shrewsbury blocked off.”
