Rachel Coalition's Program "In Her Shoes" @ B'nai Abraham

Recently Sisterhood of Temple B'nai Abraham hosted Rachel Coalition's hand-on, experiential program, "In Her Shoes".

Recently Sisterhood of Temple B’nai Abraham hosted Rachel Coalition’s hand-on, experiential program, “In Her Shoes”. Led by Rachel Coalition facilitators, the participants were provided with the opportunity to discuss the challenges and experiences faced by victims of abuse. At this program the Sisterhood presented Rachel Coalition with a donation from Sisterhood’s recent Bagels and Bowling fundraiser. According to a Rachel Coalition’s representative, “Sisterhood’s financial contribution and willingness to learn more about domestic violence will truly help our clients and the community at large.”

Rachel Coalition, a division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, began in 1997 as a grassroots organization of Jewish Family Service, United Jewish Communities of MetroWest and the National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section. Today, Rachel Coalition uniquely combines the resources and commitment of affiliated groups, social services and its nine partners of northern New Jersey organizations to assist domestic violence victims and their families with a wide array of services. Since its inception, the Coalition has served hundreds of men, women and children.
If there is a community group that would like to have Rachel Coalition present “In Her Shoes”, an interactive program that allows participants to understand the struggle of a victim, please contact Shari Bloomberg at www.rachelcoalition.com or at 973-765-9050.
