Ramadan In Livingston: Crescent Moon Lighting Event Celebrates Culture
An evening of community, culture and reflection took place in Livingston at the third annual Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting.

The third annual Ramadan Crescent Moon Lighting in Livingston offered a meaningful evening of community, culture, and reflection. Sponsored by the Livingston Committee for Diversity and Inclusion and organized by the Muslim Community Center of Livingston, the event brought together residents of all backgrounds to honor Ramadan and promote understanding.
Held indoors in a welcoming, carefully arranged space, the program included recitations and reflections that highlighted the spiritual significance of Ramadan, a month devoted to prayer, charity, and self-discipline. A dedicated prayer area for Maghrib Salah allowed participants to observe their faith comfortably while taking part in the evening’s activities.

Guests of all ages enjoyed cultural refreshments, engaging activities, and a lively raffle, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Families and neighbors had the chance to connect, learn from one another, and share in the spirit of the celebration.
