LIVINGSTON, NJ — A $1 million grant from the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey (HFNJ) will help Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston to expand its emergency department.
On Monday, Saint Barnabas announced the HFNJ award, which was one of their largest this year. The funds will be used to expand the size of the department’s observation unit to 22 beds and purchase movable clinical, patient monitoring and nursing equipment, administrators said.
“We are grateful to the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey for their continuous support and assistance with the transformation of the Saint Barnabas Medical Center campus and expansion of our Emergency Department,” said Stephen Zieniewicz, president and CEO. “This transformation is part of the ongoing campus enhancements to address the evolving needs of our patients and the community for the future.”
