Saint Barnabas In Livingston On U.S. News ‘Best Hospitals’ List

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A new list of “best hospitals” from U.S. News and World Report includes a familiar name: Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

U.S. News released its 2021-22 Best Hospitals list on Tuesday, which compared more than 4,750 medical centers nationwide in 15 specialties and 17 procedures and conditions, including cardiology, neurology, geriatrics, orthopedics and more.

Data used to determine this year's best hospitals came from a period predating the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning rankings were not affected by the pandemic. Learn more about the Best Hospitals methodology.

U.S. News evaluated 99 hospitals in New Jersey. Thirteen meet U.S. News standards and were ranked in the state – including Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. See full details for the hospital here.

Saint Barnabas came in at number five in the state, behind only Morristown Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center (tie for first), Valley Hospital in Ridgewood (third), and Overlook Medical Center in Summit (fourth).
