New federal statistics have dropped ahead of Labor Day, giving a glimpse at the average weekly wages in each New Jersey county.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released a new set of data for the Garden State on Friday.
New Jersey ranked seventh in average weekly wages among the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Statewide, average weekly wages increased 3.3 percent over the year to $1,879. Weekly wages in eight of the 15 largest counties in New Jersey were above the national average of $1,654.
