Small Fire at Car Wash
Rag of bins caught fire, little damage in fire that was quickly contained.
Around 6 o'clock last night, firefighters responded to a smoke alert at the Livingston Car Wash, located at 111 E. Mount Pleasant Avenue.
Workers at nearby Eppes Essen, a deli, called the fire department to say that smoke was coming from the car wash's building, said Fire Chief Christopher Mullin.
"There was a small fire in a bin of rags," said Mullin, noting that the fire was extinguished within about five minutes of the trucks responding. The cause of the fire is unknown.

The fire was small, Mullin said, but there was smoke damage to the building. Also, there was minor damage to a car parked inside the building; some of the paint had been damaged, Mullin said.
The car wash is open today.
