World Cup Soccer Fans Hope to Party Like 1999

Where will you watch the women's Team USA in the final Sunday?

The United States women's national soccer team is back where it was in 1999 — the finals of the Women's World Cup.

Seems like everyone is catching the fever. And why not? The World Cup has Jersey appeal: five members of the team are Garden State born and bred.

The American team came into World Cup Germany ranked first in the world after winning an Olympic Gold Medal in 2008, as well as Algarve Cups in 2008 and 2010. USA secured a spot in the finals Wednesday after defeating the France 3-1 in a semi-final game.

A win against Japan on Sunday in the final would be the third for the U.S. team, which won in 1991 and 1999. Meanwhile this will be the first final appearance for the Japanese team, which defeated Sweden 3-1 Wednesday.
