Truck gets tangled in phone lines at electronics store.

A truck got tangled up in phone lines pulling into 6th Avenue Electronics on Friday morning, causing two telephone poles to snap and pulling down a live wire that sparked a small brush fire, according to Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Francione.

The driver remained in the truck until a crew from Jersey Central Power & Light arrived to shut off power. The Livingston Fire Department extinguished the fire after the trucker was safely able to get out.

Power was out for part of the morning as JCP&L crews continued to replace the poles on Okner Parkway.
