Spectrum360 Hall of Fame Dinner Recognizes Generous Donors, Community Partners and Friends

Spectrum360, formerly The Children's Institute, celebrates honorees instrumental in success of individuals on autism spectrum.

Spectrum360 plans to hold its annual Hall of Fame Dinner on November 3rd; the first since the rebranding of the organization. At the Hall of Fame Dinner, Spectrum360 recognizes individuals who have been instrumental to the success of children, adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum.
At this year’s event Spectrum360 will induct Corporate Honoree Howard McIlvaine, Vice President of Operations at UNEX and Humanitarian Honorees, Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Blumberg into Spectrum360’s Hall of Fame.

Spectrum360, formerly The Children’s Institute, is a non-profit organization that supports the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum. New Jersey has the highest incidence rate of autism in the United States, with 1 in 41 children diagnosed and 1 in 28 boys. This far exceeds the national average of 1 in 68 children and 1 in 45 boys.

Funds raised at the Hall of Fame Dinner support programs and services for individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. Spectrum360 currently consist of three campuses - Academy360 Upper and Lower Schools serve individuals ages 3-21, while Independence360 serves adults age 21 and over. The organization is also home to FilmAcademy360 and CulinaryAcademy360, which serve as two examples of the cutting edge vocational programming offered. Due to increasing enrollment, Spectrum360 plans to move their adult program to a new, larger facility in Whippany this fall.

No celebration would be complete without a DJ, dancing and plenty of food. The event will begin with hors d’oeuvres followed by a dinner buffet and an open bar throughout the evening. Silent and live auctions provide a chance to go home with amazing prizes while supporting vocational, social and academic programs for students and adults alike. All auction items are donated which means 100% of bids will go directly to programs and services for individuals on the autism spectrum.
