Recently Teen Tikkun Olam (TTO) of Temple B’nai Abraham revved up the water hoses and dunked the sponges in soapy water to wash vehicles at TTO’s Annual Car Wash fundraiser at temple. The proceeds from the car wash were donated to Team Drew and the Warter Fund.

Temple B’nai Abraham Teen Tikkun Olam Group, students in grades 9-12, meets a minimum of two times per month. One Tuesday, is a planning session with dinner. Another meeting is centered around giving back to the community in a variety of charitable and volunteer ways. The projects in which the group becomes involved are peer lead, with Arleen Lichtenstein, JLP Special Project Coordinator and Melissa Weiner, Director of Jewish Learning overseeing the group as advisors. Among the volunteer events for TTO members included packing and distributing lunches for Bridges Outreach, Inc in Summit, New Jersey, as well as helping at TBA’s Mitzvah Morning.
