Teen Caught Shoplifting DVD's At Barnes And Noble In Livingston Mall

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston police reported two shoplifting arrests in the past week, including one from Barnes & Noble at the mall.

On Saturday, July 1, police responded to the Barnes and Noble at the Livingston Mall. Around 3:14 p.m., they arrived at the store and located a 19-year-old Summit man who "was found to have concealed over $100 in DVDs."

He was arrested, taken to police headquarters, charged with shoplifting, and released on a summons.

Shoplifting At ShopRite

Earlier that morning, at 9:53 a.m., Livingston officers responded to the ShopRite on a report of a shoplifter. A loss prevention officer had a 39-year-old Livingston man in custody. Police said he concealed approximately $80 in energy drinks and left the store.

He was charged with shoplifting and being in possession of a stolen credit card. His charges were placed on a warrant and he was taken to the Essex County Jail.
