Thousands Walk to Support Valerie Fund
A walk in the rain raises money for childhood cancer, blood disorders.
On Saturday, more than 3,000 walkers and runners came to Verona Park for the 5th Annual Valerie Fund Walk and JAG Physical Therapy 5K Run in support of the Valerie Fund, which provides a variety of medical care, counseling and other services to tens of thousands of children suffering from cancer or blood disorders. Runners and walkers alike braved soggy weather and donned ponchos or umbrellas to stay dry. This year, more than 100 young patients who have benefited from the Valerie Fund joined in the walk.
