Two taken to the hospital following accident at the Livingston Circle

A two-car accident on Christmas Day at the Livingston Circle on Route 10 sent two people to the hospital.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening, a 2005 Toyota Prius driven by Joanne Shalit, 56, of Morristown collided with a 2011 Audi A4 driven by Jeffrey Barr, 65, of Livingston, said Det. Sgt. Anthony Dippold of the Livingston Police Deparment.

According to the police report, Shalit, who was traveling eastbound on West Mt. Pleasant Ave., ran the red light at the Circle and struck Barr's vehicle, which was heading south on Eisenhower Parkway.
