This year is the Centennial of the birth of Francis Albert Sinatra, born in Hoboken, New Jersey on December 12, 1915. Join the celebration with a delightful program about one of the most popular entertainers of the 20th century.
A Touch of Sinatra is a musical show about the life and music of Frank Sinatra, narrated by Joe Gilligan and performed by Donnie Farraro. You will be entertained with the story of the life of Frank Sinatra, his songs, along with funny stories and jokes that together will provide a most entertaining experience.
Hoboken native Frank Sinatra (1915-1998) rose to fame singing big band numbers. In the ‘40s and ‘50s, he had a dazzling array of hit songs and albums and went on to appear in dozens of films, winning an Oscar for From Here to Eternity. He left behind a massive catalog of work that includes iconic songs like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “My Way,” and “New York, New York.”
Donnie Farrar, is one of the most authentic-sounding Frank Sinatra lookalikes in the industry today, Narrator Joe Gilligan is the creative writer for the “A Touch of Sinatra” show. Mr. Gilligan has done research to uncover some unknown facts about Sinatra and has incorporated them into this entertaining show. Mr. Gilligan is also a former singer and founder of the oldies group Reminisce.
