Town Recycling Event This Saturday
Event accepts items for electronic recycling and paper shredding, too.

Get out the old gadgets.
Livingston will hold its Late Spring Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Day on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Senior and Community Center (in the rear parking lot).
Accepted items included for electronic recycling include: computers and components, monitors, flat screens, printers and copiers, fax nachines, scanners, speakers, keyboards, laptops, USB and other cables, telephones and telephones systems, televisions, VCRs, stereos, radios, DVD players, toasters, irons, cell phones, pagers, typewriters, stereo equipment, electronic games, portable electronic music devices and PDA's, diskettes, CD's and DVD's, and zip disks, audio and video tapes, inkjet, laser printer and fax cartridges, and rechargeable batteries.

Commercial and large quantity electronic recyclers may incur a small charge ( pre-registration necessary).
Accepted items for paper shredding include all types of sensitive paper documents for shredding except: hard cover books, 3 ring binders, paper clips, pendaflex folders, other fastened documents.

Only residential shredding will be accepted.
Electronics Recycling provided by Advanced Recovery, Inc. and Paper Shredding by Green Sky Industries. The event is sponsored by the Livingston Township Council, Recycling & Reclamation Committee, Livingston's Environmental Commission, Green Team and Living Green Initiative.
