Two Home Burglaries Foiled In One Week In Livingston

The Livingston police responded to 2 recent reports of to home burglary attempts, including one involving 3 men.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston police responded in the past seven days to two home burglary attempts, they said.

On Thursday, Dec. 14, Livingston officers responded around 4:55 a.m. to an East Cedar Street residence on a report of several suspects attempting to enter a home, police said.

The homeowner told police that he had seen three suspects in his driveway, who then tried to kick in a rear door, but failed.

All three of them fled in a waiting vehicle, police said. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.

Then, on Tuesday, Dec. 19, police responded at 5:52 a.m. to a West Lawn Road home on a report of an attempted burglary, police said.

The homeowner said that two suspects broke a window to try to get into the house, but were scared off by the homeowner.

They then fled the scene. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
