This year the Livingston Library introduced “Livingston Listens,” a series of programs on inclusion, representation, and social justice. Livingston Library recognizes that teenagers and children have important, powerful voices, which is why the next programs in the Livingston Listens series are designed for them.
On Friday, April 27 the Museum of Impact is coming to Livingston Library to present #Upstanders Festival: Fierce Flags fly for grades 6-12. On Saturday, April 28 the Museum of Impact! will present an #Upstanders Festival for grades 1-8. The #Upstanders Festivals are social justice extravaganzas where teens and kids will make art and build power with a healthy curiosity of understanding activism and the role they can play. Teens and children will discover avenues to action and express themselves through art making, songs, games and creative crafts. These festivals transform audiences from bystanders to Upstanders through a variety of activities to enhance equity and creative expression.
