In addition, all are welcome to join LCDI member Simone Anthony-Brown (Express Yourself Studios) for a MLK Day service project that unites our community through art. Be part of a collaborative canvas painting inspired by the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The finished artwork will be displayed at Livingston Town Hall from Monday, January 22 to Thursday, February 29, 2024. Come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through creativity.
The program will end with remarks from Lady Trisha Scipio of the NAACP: Oranges & Maplewood Branch, a musical performance reflecting Dr. King’s hope, and a unity march symbolizing the community’s commitment to a more just and inclusive society.
This day serves as a reminder that Dr. King’s dream of a better world lives on through our collective efforts. Setting aside time to volunteer for the MLK Day of Service offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with your community and pay tribute to Dr. King’s enduring legacy. Each act of kindness towards those in need within our broader community can have a significant impact.
