Water Disruptions May Happen In Livingston This Week
Some Livingston homes may experience temporary water service disruptions due to planned work this week. Here's what to know.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Some Livingston homes may experience temporary water service disruptions due to planned work this week, township officials say.
The township issued the following advisory on Thursday:
“Water service transfers from the old water main to the new water main on Madison Court and Congressional Parkway from Madison Court to the baseball field, will begin on Friday, March 8 and continue next week from Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the water service transfer, each house will experience a temporary disruption of water. The contractor will knock on doors to alert residents prior to the water shutdown. Residents are also requested, wherever possible, to leave the outside hose bib on the front of their house turned on from the internal valves so that we can flush the line and verify that the water has been successfully transferred. The contractor will try to minimize the length of time of interruption and all water will be back on by the end of the day.”

“A portion of Madison Court and the end of Congressional Parkway from Madison Court onwards will be closed to all traffic. There will also be limited driveway access during these working hours, so residents who need to leave after to 7 a.m. are recommended to park on Filmore Avenue or the Northland Pool parking lot.”
More information about current water and sewer projects in the township can be found online here, Livingston officials said.
