Water Main Break In Livingston Dries Up Faucets Throughout Town

Livingston township officials have reported a water main break with potential service disruptions to residents.
According to a release sent out by the township on Tuesday, residents may have low water pressure, or have periods during which there is no water service.

- Eisenhower Parkway
- South Livingston Avenue
- Northfield Road
- South Orange Avenue
- The “general area near the Livingston Mall”
- The “entire Burnet Hill area”
Township officials are advising residents to only use cold water during this time. If pressure is low but cold water flow is clear, then the water is safe.
Using hot water can result in sediments getting into the resident’s hot water unit, which may require cleaning.

Residents should not do laundry during any disruption, according to town officials.
“Our public works employees have been working through the night and are continuing to work to safely restore complete service,” a release stated.
