Crews from Livingston Township's Department of Water and Sewer worked this morning to clear a water main break that occured a little before 10 a.m. under the bridge at Exit 6 (Laurel Avenue) on Route 280.
The water main break stemmed from a leak in a fire hydrant in the area, according to Robert A. Kinsey, Jr., Livingston's water facility manager.
The eastbound ramp to Route 280 from Laurel Avenue was closed as a result of the break to allow crews to repair the damage.
