Windy Weather Fells Trees, Wires Across Livingston
The LFD reported emergency incidents on roads including Laurel, Hillside, North Livingston, Blackstone, Belmont, Elmwood and Brown.

Livingston, NJ – Sunday’s windy weather caused several tree-related incidents across Livingston, authorities reported.

According to the Livingston Fire Department, the following incidents took place on Sunday:
- Laurel Ave - Report of a utility pole fire near I-280. Fire was in West Orange, no action taken.
- Belmont Dr. and Hillside Ave - Tree fell into roadway bringing down electrical wires. PSE&G was notified and area was secured. LPD standing by until DPW can have tree removed.
- 6 Blackstone Dr. - Large tree from above residence fell into wires and was overhanging the street. Portion of street was shut down and JCP&L notified.
- 49 Elmwood Dr. - Tree in driveway fell damaging two vehicles in driveway and pulling house service from the weather head. Homeowner notified that the service was live and to keep clear until power is disconnected.
- North Livingston Ave and West McClellan Ave - Tree down in southbound lane blocking traffic, tree was cut up to make road accessible.
- Laurel Ave and Brown Ct. - Tree into primary wires with portion of tree in roadway blocking partial lane. Guide wire resting across primary. No action taken & LPD coned out area.
- 68 Passaic Ave - One leg of primary became disconnected from top of pole and was resting against tree causing same to smoke. JCP&L notified and responding.
- 50 Shadowlawn Dr. - Large tree branch fell on rear of house causing damage to roof, gutters and bedroom ceiling. Tree contractor (Tree Scape) on scene and will assist homeowner, no FD action taken.
