Woman Trapped After Car Crashes in Mall Lot

Livingston firefighters removed a woman trapped in her car when it overturned Saturday night in the parking lot of the Livingston Mall.

Detective Sgt. Anthony Dippold said the driver lost control of her 2009 Honda near a Walnut Street exit about 11 p.m., struck a curb and overturned.

The driver, Susan Dufford was trapped in the vehicle, Dippold said. She was taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, Dippold said.

Dufford was charged with driving while under the influence and careless driving, Dippold said.
