2 From Long Branch Indicted In Crack-Cocaine Ring: Feds
Thirteen people were indicted as part of a drug-trafficking ring that operated throughout Monmouth County, authorities said.
LONG BRANCH, NJ — Two Long Branch residents were among 13 indicted for their roles in a drug-trafficking conspiracy, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpentino. The conspiracy involved cocaine and crack distribution in and around Monmouth County, authorities said.
Keith Logan and Shamar Dudley — both of Long Branch — were among 13 charged with conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine. The defendants were accused of participating in a drug conspiracy from April to August. The conspiracy operated in cities and towns such as Cliffwood, Keansburg, Matawan, Keyport, Red Bank, Long Branch, Neptune, and Asbury Park, as well as Brick Township in Ocean County, authorities said.

Conspiracy to distribute 280 grams of crack cocaine carries a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison and a $10 million fine.
The count of conspiracy to distribute 500 or more grams of cocaine carries a maximum punishment of 40 years in prison and $5 million fine. The mandatory minimum is five years.
