U.S. Congress: Long Branch is part of the Sixth Congressional District, long represented by Frank Pallone, a Democrat. This year, he will be challenged by Republican Sue Kiley, the former mayor of Hazlet and a Monmouth County Commissioner.

Eatontown is part of the Fourth Congressional District, long represented by Chris Smith, a Republican. This year, he is challenged by Democrat Matt Jenkins; Jason Cullen of the Libertarian Party and independents Pamela Daniels, David Schmidt and Hank Schroeder. Smith was the only candidate who did not take part in the most recent public forum, held by the League of Women Voters.
