Bayville School Holding 'Powerful Parenting' Workshop

The workshop, which emphasizes anxiety, takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. It's open to parents and children 8 or older.

The Berkeley Township School District will host a "Powerful Parenting" Workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday that emphasizes anxiety and communication. It takes place at Bayville School (356 Atlantic City Blvd.) and is open to parents and guardians, as well as children 8 or older.

The event gives parents an opportunity to sharpen their parenting skills. Sharon McCarthy, a presenter and author, leads sessions designed to "honor, support and promote the parent's role in developing their child's success, safety and independence," according to the flyer.
