Beach Replenishment Starting Soon In Long Branch

There will always be a 1,000-foot area closed for construction during the project, according to city officials.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Beach replenishment will begin soon in Long Branch. The process will start with sand pumping Sunday or Monday, before work begins Monday on Plaza Court.

Work will continue south to Sycamore Avenue until June 26. The dredge will return and pump north off Plaza Court on June 27 and will complete the West End section of the project July 3 near Avery Avenue.

Weather delays could extend the schedule.

There will always be a 1,000-foot area closed for construction. Where possible, there will be access along the wester portion near the bulkhead for the public to pass from one side of construction to the other.
