Brighton Avenue Streetscape Project Slated To Start Feb. 15

Improvements will be done on Brighton Avenue from Ocean Avenue to train tracks.

Long Branch’s Brighton Avenue Streetscape project will get underway on Feb. 15, according to the police department Facebook page.

The work includes repair and replacement of concrete curbs, sidewalks, driveway aprons, storm drainage pipes, paver bricks, planting beds, traffic calming devices, underground utility services, manholes, inlets and new street lights.

Improvements will take place on Brighton Avenue from Ocean Avenue all the way to the train tracks, according to Word on the Shore.

City officials will contact homeowners and business owners who may be directly affected by the project.

“As the project progresses, we will keep you informed as parking or traffic restrictions arise,” the police department post states. “Please read the notice for contact information regarding further questions.”
