Bring New and Gently Used Coats to Back to School Night in Tinton Falls

Tinton Falls parents can add one more good reason to attend Back to School nights at their child's school in the next two weeks besides admiring artwork and examining pencil boxes: bringing warm coats to needy families.

The district has tied its to the open houses happening at the three Tinton Falls schools over the next two weeks. New and gently worn coats in sizes 4T and up will be collected in a box outside each school's office and donated to Madonna House in Neptune. Over the last nine years, Tinton Falls families have donated 1,400 coats through the drive.

Here's the schedule for Tinton Falls Schools' Back to School Nights (all begin at 6 p.m.):

Tuesday, Sept. 20: TFMS Grade 7

Wednesday, Sept. 21: SRS 4-5

Thursday, Sept. 22: TFMS Grade 8

Monday, Sept. 26: MFA 2-3

Tuesday, Sept. 27: MFA K-1
