Code Blue: Long Branch Warming Center Info, Volunteers Needed
Long Branch is looking for warming-center volunteers.

Monmouth County Emergency Management issued a Code Blue alert for 6 p.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday. Long Branch will offer a warming center for residents at the CDBG Program Community Service Building, 87 7th Avenue between Broadway and Joline from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.
Volunteers are "desperately needed" to run the warming center, according to Bev Kreuz. Call or text Kreuz 732-403-4407 if you would like to volunteer. Shifts are 9 p.m. to midnight, midnight to 6 a.m., midnight to 3 a.m. and 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.

"Those who need access to a warming center should first contact the Long Branch Police Department. The Long Branch Police will then coordinate assistance with the Monmouth County Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Transportation will be provided to AND from the warming center for those who need it. Please call LBPD 732-222-1000 and transportation will be coordinated."
