You can bring unwanted, unused or expired medications to the Long Branch Senior Center this Saturday.

LONG BRANCH, N.J. — You can bring unwanted, unused or expired medications to the Long Branch Senior Center this Saturday. The Long Branch Police Department will accept returns at 85 Second Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It's all part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 27. The event allows for safe and anonymous disposal. You can dispose medication in their original containers, but Long Branch PD asks you remove labels.

Liquids should remain tightly sealed in original containers to prevent leaks. Syringes and sharp instruments are prohibited.
