Monmouth Festival of the Arts Student Art Competition

The Monmouth Festival of the Arts is hosting its annual Student Art Competition and Art Workshops at the Monmouth Reform Temple in Tinton Falls.  The student art competition features the work of 11th grade high school artists from over 50 high schools throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  MRT has been commended for its support of the arts and art education and is the winner of the 2010 governor's Award in Art education.

Participation is free.  Winners recieive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes of $100, $75 ans $50.  Winners will also have their work prominently diplayed at the 41st annual Monmouth Festival of the Arts, which will take place on April 9 through 13, 2011. 

Additionally, art workshops will be presented by local artists and will take place simultaneous to the art competition.  Participation in the workshops is open to all students of art, and not limited to those presenting in the competition.
