BIPOLAR DISORDER INFORMATION SESSION
Bipolar disorder, also called manic-depressive illness, is a serious mental illness characterized by dramatic mood swings, often with normal moods in between highs (mania) and lows (depression). The disorder can run in families and usually starts in late adolescence or early adulthood. If untreated, the disorder can result in damaged relationships, poor school or job performance and even suicide.
