Falcons Pop Warner Girls Head to Nationals at Disney World [VIDEO]
Three of the Monmouth cheer-dance teams will compete in the Pop Warner Nationals in Orlando on Dec. 8.
What happens when three Monmouth Falcons Pop Warner cheer-dance teams walk away with top honors at regionals earlier this month? They head down to Walt Disney World, of course.
The teams held a bon voyage fundraiser at on Wednesday night before the girls fly down to Orlando next week for the Pop Warner Nationals held at Disney's Wide World of Sports on Dec. 8.
Moving onto the Florida competition are the Pee Wee Team of 5th and 6th graders coached by Gina Gundal; Junior Midgets comprised of 7th and 8th grade dancers and coached by Karen Farrah; and the all-high school Midget team, coached by Colleen Shimazu.

Mom Stacey Lastella said most girls will get to Disney on Tuesday night in time for final practice on Wednesday and Thursday's competition.
Four -dance teams competed in the , and three walked away with medals. The Pee Wee team and the Midget team both placed first. The Jr. Midgets placed second. These three teams will advance to the Nationals Dec. 7, in Walt Disney World.

The Jr. Pee Wees, the youngest team of the competition, coached by Kathy Batzel, gave it their best, and remain Jersey Shore Champs.
While the competing teams' moves are top secret until next week's competitions, Patch caught the Jr. Pee Wees out on the dance floor on Wednesday night in the video to the right of this article.
