Free Hands-On Introduction to Rowing - Saturday, May 14 in Red Bank
Navesink River Rowing Free Open House May 14
Picture yourself rowing. Then give it a try at the Navesink River Rowing Open House on Saturday, May 14. The event, which is free and open to the public, features site tours, demonstrations on land, mini-lessons on the water and an opportunity to sign up for adult learn-to-row classes, boat use memberships or an array of popular summer youth programs. Activities run continuously from 9 am to 1 pm on the NRR site at the end of Maple Ave (off Front St) in Red Bank. NRR rowers of all ages and backgrounds will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions.

Navesink River Rowing, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing public access to rowing opportunities, including sculling instruction, on the Navesink River. From a site at the end of Maple Avenue in Red Bank, NJ, the group offers lessons, coaching and summer youth programs in June, July and early August. They also maintain a fleet of boats for members to use from early May through late October.
