Long Branch Beaches To Get New Sand In Army Corps Project
The federally funded beach replenishment is expected to run from this fall through spring 2021.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Long Branch beaches are getting some new sand. A federally funded project will replenish the northern part of Long Branch from south Broadway to Joline Avenue.
Work on beach replenishment in Long Branch, Sea Bright and Monmouth Beach will take place from fall 2020 through spring 2021, Congressman Frank Pallone announced Monday.
The Army Corps is working on several beach-replenishment projects around the Jersey Shore, including one in Long Branch.

A Long Branch project rewarded last year will start and end between April and June, Pallone says. Work will take place in the West End from Howland Avenue south to Sycamore Avenue in Elberon.
“Restoration projects like beach replenishment ensure our beautiful beaches will remain safe and enjoyable for residents and tourists for years to come," Pallone said in a statement.
