Long Branch City Hall To Add A Veteran's Parking Spot

LONG BRANCH, NJ — The City of Long Branch will unveil a special parking spot for veterans at City Hall. The unveiling will be part of the City's Veterans Day observance services Monday.

The services will take place at 10 a.m. in Jerry Morgan Park (Liberty Street) and will continue at 11 a.m. at City Hall (344 Broadway). VFW Post 2140 (Willow Avenue) will have an open house starting at 12:30 p.m.

The City Hall service will have an additional part this year, honoring World War II veterans. All WWII vets who contact the Mayor's Office by the end of Friday's business day will receive a certificate of recognition.

Patrols will also be able to see the new sign at the City Hall ceremony. See the full sign below:

“We want to give back to our Veteran’s any way that we can,” Mayor John Pallone said in a statement. "The parking spot will be close to city hall and will be of easy access to both entrances."
