Scott Kologi, now 18, was charged with shooting and killing his mother, father, sister and "grandmother" in 2017, authorities said.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — The suspect accused of shooting and killing four members of his family two years ago will be tried as an adult, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday.
Scott Kologi was charged Dec. 31, 2017, with killing his mother, father, sister and "grandmother," the MCPO said. Kologi, now 18, was 16 during the mass murder, the MCPO said. His first appearance in Monmouth County Superior Court is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities responded to a shooting at a Wall Street home and arrested Kologi on New Year's Eve in 2017. Authorities found the bodies of Steven Kologi, 44; mother Linda Kologi, 42; sister Brittany Kologi, 18; and family acquaintance, Mary Schultz, 70, of Oakhurst Parkway in Ocean Township.
