Long Branch Man Indicted On Child Porn Charges

In the past month of November, eight men from Monmouth County were charged with either possessing or distributing child sex abuse materials.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — In the past month of November, eight men from Monmouth County were charged with either possessing or distributing child sex abuse materials, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey announced Thursday.

Two of the eight, men from Aberdeen and Middletown, were charged with first-degree crimes, the most serious applicable offenses under state law.

David Eidman, 53, of Long Branch, arrested in November 2020 and indicted on two counts of second-degree endangering via child sex abuse material distribution and single counts of third-degree endangering via possession and third-degree attempted endangering.

Seven other men were indicted on child porn charges, hailing from Aberdeen, Hazlet, Middletown, Neptune, Manalapan and Wall.

They were investigated by members of the Prosecutor's Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, working in tandem with local police departments.
