Long Branch Middle School Student Headed To Regional Spelling Bee

Student will now go up against top spellers from the area

Pristine may have just become the favorite word of Katrina Chavez, of L.

Katrina won the school's spelling bee earlier this week by spelling that word correctly and will now compete in the regional spelling bee at Monmouth University.

Katrina outlasted 47 other students to win the spelling bee which was held in the middle school auditorium.

“I’m still shaking," Katrina said in a release from the school. "I am speechless and shocked. I worked very hard for this."
