Long Branch Police Take Pregame Ice At Devils Match

The Devils showed appreciation to another organization that puts its bodies on the line. Long Branch Police Department Color Guard presented the colors at the Devils' pregame ceremony Jan. 14 at the Prudential Center.

After the game, Long Branch police also took the ice to play broomball, a hockey variation that uses brooms instead of sticks. They may have provided some good luck, as the Devils — tied for last in the NHL with 43 points — defeated the Blackhawks, 8-5.
