Long Branch Resident Involved In Fatal Red Bank Accident
A Long Branch man was involved in an accident in Red Bank Saturday where a Middletown man was killed, according to the county prosecutor.
RED BANK, NJ — A Long Branch man was involved in an accident in Red Bank Saturday where a Middletown man was killed, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor.
The two-car collision happened early Saturday morning.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, the two vehicles — a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 SUV and a Ford F350 pickup truck — collided near the intersection of Rt. 35 and Rector Place.

The driver of the Ford pickup, 63-year-old male resident of Long Branch, suffered from minor injuries and has cooperated fully with the police, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor spokesperson Mark Spivey.
The Mercedes driver, Adil Ahmed, 56, of Middletown, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges have been filed in connection to the crash as of Monday afternoon.
