Long Branch School District Hosting Parent Forum Tonight

Forum will be held at 5:30 p.m. at high school

Parents will get the opportunity to meet the staff of the Long Branch School District during a special parents forum on Monday night.

The forum will be held in the Long Branch High School Media Center, 404 Indiana Ave., at 5:30 p.m. It will be open to parents of all district students, preschool-high school.

New district Superintendent Michael Salvatore will host the parents forum and said when schools and families work together, more things get accomplished.

Research has consistently reported that continuous appropriate parental involvement is the most consistent predictor of a child’s academic achievement and social adjustments,” Salvatore said in a release.

“We want to educate parents on appropriate educational involvement to produce better learner outcomes," he continued. "The partnership must extend beyond fundraising activities and into quality learning support outside of the school walls, which so many parents are willing to implement and align."
