Long Branch Sees Increase In Car Burglaries

Long Branch police remind everyone to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Long Branch has seen a recent increase in car burglaries, police said Monday. No specifics were immediately provided.

Long Branch police reminded residents to do the following:

  • always lock vehicles
  • never leave keys, fobs, purses, wallets or any valuables on seats, the dashboard or anywhere in sight
  • never leave boxes, bags, tools or equipment in the back of an open pickup

Most car burglaries can be avoided by simply locking the vehicle and removing valuables, police said.
