Migliaccio, Neyhart Sworn in to West Long Branch Council
West Long Branch Council holds reorganization meeting
The West Long Branch Council held its annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 1 and Councilmen Christopher Neyhart and Fred Migliaccio were sworn in front of their friends and families.
Councilman Migliaccio replaces Tom DeBruin who was elected to the council in 2005, but did not seek a third term on the dais.
Councilman Neyhart will now serve his third term on the council.

Councilman Migliaccio was the top vote-getter in November's election with 1,032 votes and Councilman Neyhart received 930 votes.
West Long Branch Mayor Janet Tucci congratulated both councilmen.

"Fred is a lifelong resident who has always showed a vested interest in the town and he will be an asset as part of the borough government," Mayor Tucci said. "Councilman Neyhart is a great person and is always responsive to the residents."
Mayor Tucci also thanked DeBruin for his service on the dais. She said he was instrumental to the borough as a member of the financial committee and helped the become part of the county library system.
West Long Branch Fire Department Chief Charles F. Shirley, Jr. and Assistant Fire Chief Dennis O'Rorke were also sworn in to their new positions.
