Offered through Monmouth University’s Center for Human and Community Wellness, the MAVS is a non-profit, non-sectarian educational organization that strives to provide awareness of a vegetarian diet.
The film is about a man named Joe Cross who is 100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from an autoimmune disease. Cross travels across the country with a juicer and generator in tow, and vows to only drink fresh fruit and vegetable juice for the next 60 days. During his travels he talks to more than 500 Americans about food, health and longevity.
