Neptune Office Manager Stole From Her Employer, Prosecutor Charges

Jodi Vanaman worked as an office manager for All Coast Service, a heating and air conditioning company headquartered in Neptune city.

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Neptune woman has been criminally charged with stealing more than $146,000 from her former employer over the course of about five years, the Monmouth County Prosecutor announced Wednesday.

Jodi L. Vanaman, 47, of Neptune Township is charged with second-degree theft by unlawful taking.

She worked as an office manager for All Coast Service, a heating and air conditioning company headquartered in Neptune city, said police.

Police say that at various times from 2016 into 2021, Vanaman made numerous unauthorized purchases using company credit cards and operating accounts. She spent the stolen money on her own personal expenses, and those of a relative.

Vanaman turned herself into detectives at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office in Freehold without incident Tuesday.

She was served with a summons complaint pending future proceedings to take place in Monmouth County Superior Court. If she is found guilty, she could face up to 10 years in state prison, as that is the common prison sentence for convictions of second-degree criminal charges.

Neptune Police were initially tipped off about her alleged theft, and they referred the crime to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Financial Crimes and Public Corruption Bureau.

This case is being prosecuted by Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Diane Aifer. Vanaman is being represented by Ryan Clark, Esq.
