"I personally would never want to build another boardwalk again," City Administrator Howard Woolley during a dedication ceremony on Monday. "It was an extremely difficult project to deal with. It took a long time to put this project together."
The city bonded for $25 million to rebuild the one-mile swath of composite decking boardwalk. A steel sheet pile sea wall was also installed to protect it.
